Editorial Policy

Our Commitment to Editorial Integrity

At DailyCryptoTop, we believe that trustworthy journalism is the foundation of informed decision-making in the cryptocurrency space. Our Editorial Policy outlines how we produce content, maintain independence, ensure accuracy, and handle corrections. This policy applies to all published material, including news articles, analyses, opinion pieces, and sponsored content.

Independence & No Hidden Influence

We are fully independent. No article is influenced by advertisers, project teams, or external parties unless explicitly labeled as sponsored.

  • All sponsored content is clearly marked with “Sponsored”, “Paid Post”, or “Partner Content” at the top and bottom.
  • We never accept payment to cover or omit stories.
  • Affiliate links (if any) are disclosed with “Affiliate link – we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you”.
  • Team members are prohibited from holding undisclosed positions in covered projects (e.g., tokens, NFTs). Any holdings are disclosed in author bios.

Accuracy & Fact-Checking

Every article undergoes a minimum of two rounds of fact-checking.

  • Primary sources: on-chain data (Etherscan, Dune, Nansen, Arkham), official announcements, whitepapers, GitHub commits.
  • Secondary sources: reputable media (CoinDesk, Cointelegraph, Bloomberg), developer interviews, regulatory documents.
  • All price data is timestamped and sourced from at least two aggregators (CoinGecko + CoinMarketCap).
  • Speculation is clearly labeled as such (e.g., “Speculation”, “Possible scenario”).
  • We never publish rumors without verification. If we report unconfirmed information, we use phrases like “according to anonymous sources” and follow up with updates.

Corrections & Transparency

Mistakes happen. When they do:

  • Minor corrections (typos, small data errors) are fixed silently with a note at the bottom: “Updated: corrected typo in paragraph 3”.
  • Material errors (wrong price, incorrect fact) receive a prominent correction note at the top: Correction (January 13, 2026): The previous version incorrectly stated X. The correct information is Y. We apologize for the error.
  • Major corrections are also announced via X/Twitter and newsletter if the article was widely shared.
  • All corrections are logged internally and available upon request.

Source Attribution & Originality

We credit all sources.

  • Direct quotes are always attributed.
  • Data visualizations cite the source (e.g., “Chart: Dune Analytics, query by @0xfoobar”).
  • We do not copy content. If we summarize another article, we link to the original.
  • All images are either original, licensed (Unsplash/Pexels with attribution), or created in-house.

Opinion & Analysis

Opinion pieces are clearly labeled as such (“Opinion”, “Analysis”, “Guest Post”).

  • We distinguish between factual reporting and editorial viewpoint.
  • Guest posts undergo the same fact-checking as staff articles and include full author disclosure.

Sponsored Content Guidelines

Sponsored content must:

  • Be clearly marked throughout.
  • Not mimic regular editorial content in tone or structure.
  • Be reviewed for factual accuracy (we reject misleading claims).
  • Include disclosure: “This is a sponsored post. DailyCryptoTop received compensation for this content.”

Handling Conflicts of Interest

All team members disclose crypto holdings annually.

  • If a writer owns a token they cover, it must be disclosed in the article (e.g., “Disclosure: the author holds ETH”).
  • We do not cover personal investments without disclosure.

Complaints & Feedback
